NJ FIRST LEGO League
Tournaments
Note! Starting this year, entry into the NJ State Tournament will require qualifying as a winner of a local event.Depending on the size of the local tournament, the Champion's Award winner along with winners of the individual categories (Robot Performance, Teamwork, Research Project and Technical Presentation) will receive an invitation to the State Tournament. If second place awards are given out in the various categories, then these winners may also be considered.
At the start of tournament registration on Oct. 1, 2007, teams will only be allowed to sign up for one local event. This is to insure that all teams will have an equal chance to attend a local event and qualify for the State Tournament. After a period of a couple of weeks teams will be allowed to sign up for additional events. There will be a number of local tournaments scheduled around the state.
The following list is the preliminary list of events being planned. Select a link below to get detailed information about the various events as it becomes available. These events are world-class celebrations of middle school students (ages 9-14), engineers, and mentors creating and discovering tomorrow's science and technology. There will be a $50 entry fee to every tournament a team wishes to attend. Register for these events! After October 1st
